Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what you type into a form and what you tell us on a call, we use it to help you with your vehicle, and we do not sell it. Google Analytics and CallRail tell us which pages and ads people come from, and calls are recorded. We only text you if you ask us to.

What We Collect

What you type into a form on this site. For a booking or a message that means your name, email address, phone number, vehicle details, and whatever you tell us about the problem, plus whether you asked us to text you.

If you call us, a record of the call: the number you called from, when, which ad or page led you to call if there was one, and a recording of the call.

If you apply for a job, it means your name, email address, phone number, the role you want, how long you have worked in the trade, your ASE status, and what you tell us you have worked on. We ask you not to send a date of birth, a Social Security number, or medical details, because we do not need them and we do not want to hold them.

If you apply for a fleet account, it means your company's details, your name and role, your vehicles, who approves work, your billing contact, and how you would like to be invoiced and to pay. We never ask for a tax ID, a card number or bank details through this site.

We do not buy lists. Apart from the business contact details described under Fleet Outreach below, we do not collect information about you from anywhere other than you.

What We Do With It

We use it to answer you, book your appointment, send the texts you asked for, and keep a record of the work done on your vehicle. Job applications are used to decide who to call for an interview, and for nothing else.

We use call records and form records to learn which of our advertising brings people in, so we spend less on the kind that does not.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

Who Can See It

Form submissions are stored in a private database that only named Tune Car Care Center accounts can reach, behind a password-protected login. Only accounts on an allow-list get in, so being able to sign in is not enough on its own.

Job applications are held tighter still: only the owner can open them, not everyone with a dashboard login, and the notification email we get says an application arrived but does not include what you wrote.

Confirmation emails are sent through Resend, our email provider, and the site is hosted by Vercel. Calls, call recordings and texts are handled by CallRail, our call-tracking and texting provider. None of them uses your information for their own purposes.

How We Contact You

Appointment confirmations are sent by email. We may call the number you give us to confirm a booking or to talk through a repair before starting work.

We only text you if you tick a box asking us to. Texts about your visit cover reminders, updates, photos of your vehicle and invoices. Offers by text need their own separate tick, and agreeing to them is never a condition of buying anything.

Reply STOP to any text and we stop, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number, or your agreement to receive texts, with anyone for their marketing. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

Phone Calls And Call Tracking

Calls to the shop are recorded, for quality and training and so we have an accurate record of what was agreed.

When you reach this site from one of our ads, it may show a phone number from CallRail, our call-tracking service, instead of our main number. It rings the same shop. It lets us see which ad led to the call.

When you send a form on this site, CallRail also receives what you entered, for the same reason: to match the enquiry to the ad or page that led to it.

Cookies And Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages people visit and how they found us. It sets cookies in your browser, and it counts as tracking.

We use it to work out which services people are looking for and whether the site is doing its job. We do not use it to advertise to you, we do not run remarketing, and we do not sell or share what it collects.

Anonymous performance measurement also runs so we can see whether pages load quickly. That part stores nothing that identifies you.

CallRail sets cookies, with names starting calltrk, and stores a little data in your browser to remember which ad or website sent you, so a call or form can be matched to it.

If you would rather not be counted, any browser will let you block cookies for this site, and Google publish an opt-out add-on that turns Analytics off everywhere.

Our Own Google Tools

The shop uses Google services to run the business: Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager for this website, Google Ads for advertising, and Google Drive to keep encrypted backups of our booking system.

Our internal tools connect to these with the shop's own Google account and nothing else. They read the shop's own reports, manage the shop's own analytics and advertising settings, and save backup files to a folder in the shop's own Drive. In Drive they can only open the files they created.

They never touch a customer's Google account, and you are never asked to sign in with Google. Nothing they read is sold, shared, or used for anything other than running this website and the shop's advertising.

Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Anti-Spam

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from bots. It checks the browser, not you, and it does not track you across other websites.

Google Reviews

The reviews section on our homepage shows reviews of the shop from Google. When you scroll to it, our server fetches them from Google, and the reviewers' profile pictures load in your browser straight from Google, so Google sees your browser request those images. We send Google nothing about you, and we do not keep a copy of the reviews.

Error Reports

If a page breaks, or something fails behind the scenes such as an email not sending, a report goes to Sentry, the service we use to find and fix faults. It says what went wrong, on which page, and what kind of browser and device were involved.

It does not include what you typed into a form, your IP address or your cookies, and anything that looks like an email address or phone number is removed before the report is sent. Sentry may note the approximate city a report came from, worked out from the connection. Nothing records your screen or your clicks.

Fleet Outreach

We call and email local businesses to offer fleet service. For that we keep the contact details a business publishes on its own website: the company name, business phone number, email address and street address, and a named contact where the website gives one. We add notes of our calls with you. We do not use data copied from Google Maps or bought from list sellers.

Fleet emails come from our own mailbox, Support@tunecarcare.com, which is hosted by Zoho. Every one says who we are and where we are, and how to tell us to stop.

Tell us to stop, by phone, by email or by replying to one of ours, and we will not email or call you about fleet service again. Ask us to delete your company's details and we will.

How Long We Keep It

Job applications are deleted automatically twelve months after they arrive.

Booking and service records are kept while they are useful for the history of work on your vehicle. Ask us to remove yours and we will.

Your Choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We can delete it there and then.

Call the shop or email Support@tunecarcare.com and we will take care of it.
