What We See Most On BMWs
Some problems come through our bays often enough that we know them well and keep the parts on hand.
- Oil leaks at the valve cover and filter housing gaskets: extremely common past 60,000 miles, and usually the cause of that burning smell after a drive.
- Cooling system failures: plastic thermostat housings, water pumps and expansion tanks wear out, and it pays to replace them before they strand you.
- VANOS and timing components: rough idle, a rattle on cold start, or a code for camshaft timing.
- Electronic parking brake faults: the rear brakes cannot be serviced without a scan tool to retract the actuators, and we have one.
- Suspension bushings and control arms: clunks over bumps and vague steering, especially on higher-mileage 3 and 5 Series.

Why Not The Dealer?
An independent shop with the right equipment can do the same work with less overhead, and you talk to the person who looked at your car. When something belongs at the dealer, such as a warranty claim or a factory recall, we will tell you so instead of taking the job.
Common Questions
Can you reset the service interval?
Yes. We reset the CBS service indicators after oil changes, brake work and inspections, so the dash shows what was done.
Do you use genuine BMW parts?
We use OE or OE-equivalent parts from the same manufacturers that supply BMW. If you would prefer genuine BMW-boxed parts we will source them. Just ask when you book.
Will servicing here affect my BMW warranty?
No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because an independent shop did the maintenance. We record what was done and when, so you have the evidence if it is ever queried.
Do you use original parts?
We use OE or OE-equivalent parts from the same manufacturers that supply BMW. If you would prefer factory-boxed parts we will source them. Just say so when you book.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Repairs carry a 1, 2 or 3 year warranty. 12,000, 24,000 or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Ask which one covers your repair. The term that applies to yours is printed on the invoice.
